Koirasaaren Kruunukorttelit

At home in the city, and at sea

Helsinki, a maritime city shaped by centuries of craftsmanship. Continuing this tradition are the Koirasaari Kruunukorttelit, inspired by Jugend architecture. To be completed in summer 2027, Housing Company Helsingin Koirasaaren Kruunuranta offers homes where you can breathe and pause surrounded by sea views.

Koirasaari is located in the eastern part of Helsinki’s city centre, in the Kruunuvuori district. Nearly every apartment opens up to views across the water towards the heart of Helsinki and Suomenlinna.

Alongside the Forma, Flora and Fauna buildings, a fourth building will also be built within the block. This building is not part of the housing company or the apartments offered for sale. It will remain in the ownership of the developer. As the Kruunukorttelit progresses, so too will this website. For now, you’ll find essential information about the project and its current phase.

Newsletter summary

The long-awaited return of beauty has begun in Koirasaari. Inspired by Jugend architecture and built with respect to craftsmanship, the Koirasaaren Kruunukorttelit have begun to take their shape on the shore of Koirasaari.

Construction of the three residential buildings – Forma, Flora and Fauna – is now underway. The homes, ranging from 38 m² to 251 m², combine timeless architecture with thoughtful interior design.

The walls are emerging in Koirasaari

Each building of Koirasaaren Kruunukorttelit is laid brick by brick by hand. The honeycomb bricks allow for the project’s distinctive architecture, as they can be shaped freely into the curved forms the design requires. Next, the masonry work progresses to the arches that define both window and door openings.
